Steps to Shadow Support
Parents can enroll with the following steps in mind:
Enquire with Shadow Advantage and sign up for a Standard Assessment. This may cover a full Speech and Language, Occupational, and Educational report. If the child does not already have an Educational Psychologist report, he will be referred for this.
After the Evaluation, the Manager will advise with regards to intervention and the appropriate shadow for the child. Shadows work in a variation of 3, 4 and 5 full school days. Shadows are appointed for a 6 month basis before review of progress.
A Group Meeting will be arranged between the Case Manager. The shadow will be appointed with the parent and the Teacher. Thereafter, the Individual Education Plans (IEPs) would be set out for the child.
The Shadow and Report Process will commence.
